The Writing Is On The Wall . . . Can You See It?
The writing is on the wall . . . Can you see it?
This is a message I received this morning . . . .
This is a message I received this morning . . . .
"I too hate myself when I look in the mirror. My husband of 43 years left me for the neighbour a month before my beautiful daughters wedding and married her this past weekend. He broke my family to pieces. A year ago I found out I had cancer and am clear now but I am 120lb overweight. My mental health counsellor that was helping me through it all and was my lifeline got her kids on the school bus las week and went back to bed and never woke up. She too struggled with weight. Now I feel like I might have a heart attack and time. I need to do something! . . . "
Do you read this as I am reading this? Her husband left her for the neighbor. Her mental health counselor died suddenly in the night. She is 120lb overweight. Everything is happening right before her eyes. It's a wake up call, but you have to be able to see it.
The problem is that we don't want to see it and so we block it out. Open your eyes. This is why you need to make a change. Everything is starting to happen. The beast has been unleashed and if you are strong enough to accept it you can be strong enough to change it.
Just remember, nothing changes if nothing changes. That means you have to make the changes. YOU have to make the change for you. Not what others think, say, or might do. Do it for you.
Gosh, I hope she heard my response.
This is everyday people living everyday lives. Life happens whether you are ready or not. When it's happening you have to see the writing on the wall. Is life going well? You'll feel it and see it? Is life not going well? You'll feel it and see it. Know you have to take control and make major changes in your life to make life what you want it to be.

Day 5 - Waking up Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Base
Day 5 - Waking Up Camp Pendleton
United States Marine Corps Base
Day 5 - I'm waking up on the base of Camp Pendleton, CA. I am in Oceanside, CA excited to wake up ready for a Game 7 of the World Series tonight. Better yet, I am waking up not hating myself and thinking about what I am going to eat knowing that I am going to regret it and thinking, "I have to make a change!"
Today, no more. Let's bury these thoughts and hateful feelings. Because for years they held me back. I've been kept back from being everything and all I wanted to be. Every day was a struggle. A challenge. I hated how I looked in my clothes, how I felt in my clothes. I wasn't living life. Rather, I was living a slow death because I couldn't make the changes permanently myself.
Today is a new day. It's emotional. It's going to be hard, but I am already feeling like it's so worth the fight that I will fight. All I am fighting is that I can't go and have two bacon egg and cheese biscuits from McDonalds. On the other hand, remember how I felt after. I felt satisfied because I ate and I ate what I wanted. Did it help me to be healthy and where I wanted to be? Absolutely not! Today, those feelings are all behind me. I'm a new man. I am waking up excited to accomplish some great things in my life.
It's morning time. I took a little drive around to watch Marines PT. I drove around and watched Marines training and right now I am watching the Marines out in the water training in their land and water machines. WOW. They're like tanks that go in the water and on land. So awesome to take all this in and appreciate our military.
Loving this new day.
